Self-Archiving Policy
Authors own the copyright of their published articles and may deposit a copy of the final published PDF in their institutional repository, a subject repository or any other suitable forum. There is no embargo period. Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence (CC BY 4.0), so the deposited copy should carry the same licence statement.
Linking to the Journal Version
We recommend that authors always add a link from the deposited copy to the article on the journal website (https://jbcgenetics.com). The version on the journal website is the definitive version of the article, and a link helps protect the integrity and authenticity of the scientific record.
Funder Requirements
Authors are advised to check the archiving requirements of their funding agency, if the study was funded, to make sure they comply with the funder's policy.
Long-Term Preservation
The journal also arranges long-term preservation of its published articles with Portico. See the Digital Archiving page for details.
